Are you feeling the end of summer blues? I am! Yes, there were many signs that summer was over. Back to wearing pants, layers, socks and closed toed shoes on a regular basis. Whoa! I miss the hot days and the cool nights.
The days are shorter. The work days feel long and the nights feel too short. I wonder how I was able to do so much more in the summer and not feel as tired as I do now. It’s the cold that makes me want to stay in bed as long as I can. I’m also already wondering about my next vacation – classic case of summer blues. lol!
I spent the last two weeks in a baking sort of phase. Trying to juggle baking alongside preparing regular meals left me standing in the kitchen too tired to write about it afterwards. In recent weeks, and I made almond flour pumpkin spiced muffins, coconut flour pumpkin spiced muffins and a NO sugar coconut flour chocolate banana loaf. The plan is of course to write about these kitchen creations when I can sit down and give it the attention it deserves. I can see why food blogs can become full time jobs in themselves and I’m extremely impressed when the people behind them have full time gigs and kids to take care of on top of hobbies and a social life.
You know how people say when you write it down it helps? Well, I’m already feeling more hopeful then when I started writing this that October will be better. I’ll get a hang of things again. As for blogging, I’ve got ideas and drafts just waiting to be published. I just wasn’t in the mood to push out any existing content. I wasn’t in the mood to edit, I was in the mood to share my thoughts. Hope it wasn’t too ranty. 🙂
